Amsterdam, November 14, 2023 — Lancyr has today announced a partnership with Fixico, the digital car repair management platform, to upgrade their car insurance offering. In addition to purchasing car insurance online, customers can now submit damage claims digitally through Fixico's platform. This significantly accelerates and simplifies the claims and repair process via an intuitive online platform. The partnership between Lancyr and Fixico illustrates the shift in the Dutch insurance industry towards a modern approach, driven by customers accustomed to direct online interactions.
For handling damages, customers can easily upload photos to the web-app. Fixico then uses its smart matchmaking technology to select the best repairer for the specific damage. This repairer is selected based on criteria such as distance, availability, pricing and customer reviews. The customer can easily schedule an appointment with the repairer, track the status of the repair throughout the whole process, and receive a notification once the vehicle is ready for pick up — all on one platform. The first customers are reportedly pleased with both the registration process and the execution of the damage repair, with an average review score of 4.4 out of 5 stars.
Lancyr's existing repair network will be integrated into Fixico’s platform, leading to significant efficiency improvements in terms of damage handling time, repair lead times and process control. The claims department gains insight into the repair of all vehicles, types of damages, and the performance of repairers through a comprehensive dashboard. This wealth of information is valuable for further product development and managing claims costs, and especially in improving the customer experience.
